A lot of people have emailed me asking how to make a website or how
to make a dollmaker on their site. This is where I will answer all
those questions.
1. How do I make a website?
First you need a free webspace provider. Some of the best known
ones are
geocities.com
angelfire.com
freewebs.com
I recently bought my own domain from
dreamhost.com
so I pay for my website space.
Then you need to learn html to build a site, the best site to learn it is
lissaexplains.com.
2. How do I make a dragging dollmaker?
I got the code from
www.dynamicdrive.com. The
code is under the image category, it's called draggable images.
3. Where do you get the props/dolls?
I get all my props from
The Palace, a visual chat
program. You can download it from the link and get a registration code from
that site as well and then you can get props.
Check with your parents before downloading anything, and I don't advise
anyone under 13 to be on the palace due to innapropriate content from some
immature people.
4. Did you steal your props from other sites?
No, I did not. I never take dolls or props from other sites because
anyone who owns a doll site with a dollmaker knows how much times goes
into making one. The reason some of the props are the same on my site
and on other sites is because we all get them from the palace and edit
them to get them on the sites. I personally remove all the skin from
the props and make all the torsos thicker in the middle.
5. Can you make me a doll site / doll?
Unfortunately no. I think you will find it much more rewarding if you
make the doll/site yourself using the same resources that I did.
